The department expects to have several regular faculty positions beginning in September 2015 and invites candidates at all levels. We will consider outstanding candidates in any area of computer science.
Faculty members are expected to be outstanding scholars and to participate in teaching at all levels from undergraduate to doctoral. The department has 35 regular faculty members and several clinical, research, adjunct, and visiting faculty members. The department's current research interests include algorithms, cryptography and theory; computational biology; distributed computing and networking; graphics, vision and multimedia; machine learning and data science; natural language processing; scientific computing; and verification and programming languages.
Collaborative research with industry is facilitated by geographic proximity to computer science activities at AT&T, Facebook, Google, IBM, Bell Labs, NEC, and Siemens.

Clinical Professor Position
The Computer Science Department has one ot two openings for a Clinical Professor position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank depending on experience, starting January 15 or September 1, 2015, subject to budgetary and administrative approval. This is a full-time non-tenured, non-tenure-track three-year contract faculty position which is potentially renewable. The main duty is to teach three courses during each of the fall and spring semesters in the department's undergraduate or graduate program and additionally to participate in curricular development, program administration, and other educational activities. Applicants should have an M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.

Adjunct Faculty Position
The Computer Science Department has continuing part-time opportunities for adjunct faculty to teach at all levels of its programs. The department is interested in candidates with industrial experience for upper level undergraduate and MS courses.
