FALL 2008 Course Roadmap For MSIS Students
FALL 2008 COURSE ROADMAP FOR MSIS STUDENTS
The Course Roadmap is designed to help you ensure that you are working to meet your MSIS degree requirements. The courses that are italicized are being offered in the Fall 2008 semester. The MSIS degree requires 39 credits, which are broken down into: five required Leonard N. Stern School of Business (Stern) crses; five required Computer Science Department courses within The Graduate School of Arts and Science (GSAS); a capstone course and two free electives, from either the Computer Science Department or Stern.
Information Systems (Stern) Requirements
- Students are required to take two (6 credits total) General Business Core courses (B01 courses). Be sure to check the prerequisites before selecting a course. The following courses are recommended:
- Students are required to take three (9 credits total) Information Systems courses (B20 courses). Be sure to check the prerequisites before selecting a course. The following courses are recommended:
Students can take a maximum of 21 credits in Stern.
Computer Science Department (GSAS) Requirements
- Students are required to take G22.1170 Fundamental Algorithms.
- Students are required to take two of the three following courses:
- Students are required to take two (6 credits total) Computer Science electives.
- *G63.2041 Computing in Finance can be taken and counted as a CS elective.
Capstone Requirement
Additional Requirement
- Students are required to take two free electives (6 credits total) in either the Computer Science Department or Stern.
