NEWS:
I am a postdoctoral fellow in Geoff Hinton's lab now.
Please, visit my new webpage.
I was a Ph.D. candidate in Prof. LeCun's lab at the Courant Institute of
Mathematical Sciences - New York University.
My
primary research is in the area of Machine
Learning and Pattern Recognition, mainly with applications
to Vision problems. I have worked on Unsupervised
Learning algorithms to learn representations of data with
desirable properties like compactness or sparsity.
I am also interested in describing these algorithms in the general
Energy-Based Model framework.
My projects had applications in a wide
range of domains, from visual object recognition to image denoising
and compression, from text classification and retrieval to autonomous
robot navigation.
