Scribble Notes Policy

The scribble notes have to main reasons for existance. First is to provide you with a quality summary of the material covered, and for any future references to the material in the class. The second reason, is to grade the quality of the notes that you submit. The grading policy is as follows. You are required to sign up and produce a set of notes for one lecture. It is to be submitted over e-mail(preferrably in HTML format) to the TA grading the notes that week(TA name appears next to the date below). The notes received by TA will be posted on this web page, so everyone can send their comments during the following week to the appropriate TA. All comments are collected and given to the author of the notes, who submits a revised verison of the notes the next week on which he or she will be graded. Because the first weeks were hectic, you can send you comments to all the lectures during the week Feb 10-Feb 17. Later you should only send comments to the previous week's notes. If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to voice them on the mailing list or ask TAs or class instructors. To summarize, you have one week since the time of the lecture to submit your notes, one week for class to comment, and one week to submit the final version that will be graded.
