I'm a Ph.D Canidate at Department of Computer Science, New York University. As a member of the Parallel and Distributed System Group, I work with my advisors Professor Zvi M. Kedem and Professor Vijay Karamcheti on MILAN project and Computing Community project. I anticipate to graduate in 2000.
I'm interested in system work, especially in dealing with communication and computation in heterogeneous environment (ranging from workstations to hand-held devices (PDAs) interconnected through wired or wireless network). The Internet is beginning to evolve into such a dynamic environment. The power of these interconnected devices spans several order of magnitude, with some devices/agents demonstrating special-purpose functionality. Accordingly, software components are desired to be collaborative and resource-aware, capable of customizing themselves to a variety of situations. Building these intelligent components offers an appealing challenge.
