Faculty Mentor Program

Students majoring in Computer Science may request a Faculty Mentor in order to:

  • Discuss a specific field of interest in depth
  • Better understand future career or research goals
  • Begin to build a network within the Computer Science field

The Faculty Mentor Program was designed to enhance your experience as a Computer Science major at NYU. Through this program, you will have the opportunity to meet with a faculty member at least twice during the academic year to discuss any relevant Computer Science issues concerning the curriculum, graduate studies, research areas, and job opportunities. Students are encouraged to meet with their mentor prior to the registration period, once in the fall semester, and once in the spring semester. Students may schedule additional meetings with their mentor at other times during the academic year.

Students should contact the Undergraduate Program Administrator in order to become a member of the Faculty Mentor Program. To better assist the Program Administrator in finding you the best possible Faculty Mentor, please review the faculty interest page below.
