It's perhaps worth mentioning that v for inclusive or seems to have been 
based on the idea that in Latin 'vel' was the inclusive or and 'aut' the 
exclusive or. But this is in fact exactly as wrong as the idea that in 
English 'or' is inclusive and 'either ... or ...' exclusive.
