"Platonism" appears indeed to have several different meanings for different 
people. 

A classical and influential discussion of different senses of "platonism", 
and a good starting point for discussion, is Paul Bernays' "Platonism in 
Mathematics" (1935); it is reprinted in Benacerraf's and Putnam's anthology 
(Phil. of Math.), and can be found online in the webpage of "The Bernays 
Project" (strongly recommended anyway):

A good more recent account is 

Penelope Maddy's 'The roots of contemporary Platonism', Journal of Symbolic 
Logic 54 (1989), pp. 1121-1144.
