This is but one small indication that the world of intellectual interaction
has changed completely, forever.

Sure, lots of unpublished informal and semiformal talk has always go on
between people at the same University, or at meetings, or on the phone,
before something like the FOM and the FOM archives.

But look at the enormous difference! Those interactions disappear into thin
air, without tape recorders, and almost always without notes. The notes get
taken out of context, and normally disappear over relatively short amounts
of time. 

Here, with the FOM and the FOM archives, there is a permanent record for the
whole world to see, forever. Mistakes, retractions, idiocies, brilliancies -
the whole spectrum!

The FOM is going on six years! Stronger than ever!!

Be part of history. Encourage your colleagues to be part of history.
