I mistakenly said that Dover reprinted the
Halsted translation.  In fact, the Halsted 
translation appeared in 1913, in a volume 
entitled "The Foundations of Science."  

The Dover paperback is a reprint
of the 1914 translation by Francis Maitland.
Poincare deleted a lot of his original articles
for their publication in his book.  
I have not compared the Maitland translation 
with the original, so I don't know if Maitland
introduced further deletions.
