FOM: Is chess as interesting as mathematics? NO

Theorem:  Chess is less interesting than Peano Arithmetic.

Proof:  Every question about chess can be translated via Godel 
numbering into a question about natural numbers.  Since the number of 
chess pieces and possible configurations on the chess board is 
finite, not all questions about natural numbers can be translated 
into questions about chess.
