Ditto for L.E.J. Brouwer. Foundations of mathematics 
and mathematical logic would look fairly different 
today without him, for instance, Wittgenstein's 
later philosophy, and Goedel's work. A great mind 
presumably does not have to coincide with an easy 
personality.
