Abstract

Tropical mathematics is a mathematics over the Tropical Semi-Ring, (R,+,max), the real numbers equipped with the operations of maximum and summation -- addition and multiplication respectively. The objective of the lecture is to present an overview of the fundamentals of tropical algebra/geometry defined over the Extended Tropical Semi-Ring -- a new structure that generalizes the former structure. The included topics will be: basic structure of the extended tropical semi-ring, its corresponding convex geometry and the compatible matrices' algebra.
