In this course, we will discuss some of the mathematical aspects of medical imaging, with an emphasis on computerized tomography. Topics covered include data acquisition, Fourier analysis, digital signal processing, and noise modeling. Other imaging modalities such as magnetic resonance and ultrasound will be discussed as time permits. A familiarity with computer programming in MATLAB is recommended.
